Idriss is the protagonist of a story of passion and determination. Born in France, but originally from Sierra Leone, his academic career began with a degree in SME and PMI entrepreneurship. However, his passion for international humanitarian actions led him to pursue a master's degree in this field after identifying the needs in Africa.

So after obtaining his master's degree, Idriss became actively involved in the humanitarian sector, working for 4 years as a field coordinator and base manager in various regions of Africa. This experience was both trying and rewarding, but the challenges associated with the conflictual contexts finally pushed him to return to France.

Arriving in France, Idris found his administrative work not very stimulating. He discovered Akimbo, was convinced, and enthusiastically embarked on this new adventure to realize his passion and expertise.

Her career after the training

Today, Idriss works as a Business Development Consultant for Be Sales, a subsidiary of the First Group group. Be Sales offers outsourced consulting services to businesses, working as a white label to boost the turnover of their commercial services.

What he learned from the training

Let's go back to his words:

“What I learned from the training was that to be a salesperson, you not only need a lot of effort, you not only need an appetite for sales but you need method. I learned it on the first day and I have always retained it because ever since then, the method has been my baggage. It's in my briefcase, in my sales toolbox.”

Hence our vision, which consists in “making sales go from art to science”. At Akimbo, we firmly believe that selling is not based on a simple hustle, but on a rigorous methodology that can be learned and mastered with precision.

Her feedback on the recruitment process

There seemed to be a positive reputation preceding me, which made the process much easier.
Kimia really understood who I was and how my profile could best fit the company that was right for me. Today, I am extremely happy with my choice.”

Her advice about Bootcamp

“I recommend Akimbo 100%. I think that will introduce it to salespeople who are already in the field but who would like to extend their commercial background a bit with computerized and automation techniques that are a huge time-saver.
But also to people who, like me, have little or no training in sales and who really want to be interested in the world of tech and SaaS because it's accessible. At the beginning you can say to yourself “I don't have everything I need for”, but the training teaches you to uninhibit yourself and teaches you to become the salesperson you will be tomorrow.
So don't hesitate, you have to go for it, you don't have to ask yourself questions because it's a great challenge.”
