Melody started her career as a sales consultant in the retail sector. She gradually evolved to finally occupy the position of manager in a major Japanese brand.

After 12 years of career in retail, she decided to join Akimbo Bootcamp to challenge each other.

What she learned from the training

“Akimbo is a human experience, very challenging. We get out of our comfort zone, but at the same time, it makes us feel good. In any case, it made me feel good. This allowed me to have confidence in myself despite these two intensives.”

Bootcamp is very often described as “intensive.” This is explained by the fact that this two-month course brings together theory and practice: 70% of practice. The objective is to make the Akimbers operational as soon as the end of the Bootcamp to integrate one of our partner start-ups.

In particular, implementation takes several forms:

  • The Akimbers train on a cold call by prospecting real contacts on behalf of real start-ups.
  • Future Business Developers are also required to practice role-playing games to improve as they receive feedback and advice.

Over the past 5 years, 88% of Akimbers have joined one of the 250 partner companies of Akimbo after the Bootcamp.

In addition to having their training costs reimbursed thanks to their recruitment in a partner company, the talents trained have experienced an easy job search.

The offers that best aligned with their preferences and skills were offered to them and they were coached to succeed in the recruitment process. And this, during and after the Bootcamp.

Her career after the training


At the end of the Bootcamp, Mélodie joined the start-up Sline On the post of Sales Development Representative (DR). The start-up combines all the services necessary to launch a rental offer on e-commerce sites.

His opinion on the Bootcamp

“I would say that the training is accessible to everyone, however, you have to be ready to get out of your comfort zone, to challenge yourself and to learn a lot of things over two months.”
